That's Some Bad Hat Harry (This post is about hair. Not hats)

Ok so, this week's theme is all the different ways I do my hair. Which really isn't much. A lot of these are the just the same thing only slightly different. Since I don't use heat on my hair there's really two ways I can do my hair: up and down. But I try to make it interesting with different scarves and different bangs and stuff. So hopefully these hairstyles don't bore you too much. If all else fails just look at the clothes because that's what matters anyway right?

Here my hair is up in a messy bun and I wrapped my head in an infinity scarf. Resourceful I know.

Here my hair is up in a messy bun but instead of a scarf I have a wire headband in my hair. And what a difference it makesl. Sarcasm. I mean, it does look a little different. I guess

I wore this outfit to go see the dance company JUNK at the Lincoln Center. Definitely some people you want to google later. Really crazy stuff. Two words: lizard costume. Now to google with you!

Ooohoo. This is where it really starts to get crazy. So I start with a messy bun again right. But get this. Instead of an infinity scarf, I use a regular scarf to tie it up. Dude wuuuuuuuut. Just kidding. It is slightly different though because with regular scarves you can tie it up all cute at the top. Or bottom. Whatever you're into.

The Classic, hair down with bangs. (And yes, I really don't use heat on my hair. It dries this way. Not to brag but... yea. Really I think it just takes a good haircut to make any hair-type look good without having to distress it with extreme temperatures. And that's why I cut my own hair. Wow. This just turned into one big bragging session. But really. No one understands your natural hair like you do and you gotta find the right haircut that brings out the natural beauty in your hair. That's my philosophy anyway. Longest perentheses ever. Lemon out.)

The classic hair down with bangs swooped to the side.

Here's a closer look in case you missed it the first time. The struggle is real, I know.

This one I feel like is pretty cool actually. It's hair down with hippy-whatever-whatever headband slightly pushing the hair up into a gentle poof.

A very gentle poof.

And I call this one the Nancy Drew. Because I respect myself. Hair down with infinity scarf headband.

Again, in case you missed it.

And this is from an outfit from another post but I wanted to put it in anyway, you know, since we're talking about hair anyway, because it's flipping awesome. It's another hair poof thingy but this time featuring my very own NBA sweatband. My pride and joy. Actually it's just a make-shift headband made from the collar of an old sweatshirt. But hey. Resourceful right?

So thanks for listening to a complete hair ameteur talk about her boring hair. When I had my long hair, I could lots of interesting stuff with it. All you need to know about how I used to do my hair when it was long is in this quick anecdote.

Gay friend approaches Franky: "Frances. Tell the bird that's living in your hair that it's time to migrate." Gay friend walks away with smirk on face knowing he has just executed the perfect burn.

I will leave the rest up to your imagination.

And now, please enjoy this subject-appropriate gif from Mean Girls:
